why juno stage?

Hello
I want to buy a keyboard and it's very difficult. My wife know piano very good me i'm just a novice in music but i like to "play" a lot with software music. In the end we really want to buy a good keyboard. After a lot of readings and youtube demos watched we conclude that the "perfect" is Phantom series but it's over our budget. We have computer with M-audio 2496 so this will be a good advantage for beggining. So we;ve stopped at 2 keyboards: Roland Juno stage and Korg Tr 76. My wife like's piano (she was trainned in school, she have a clasic piano etc) and me i like electronic music. WE've heard JS and we like a lot the sound. This is the best at this keyboard. 128 voice polyphony (62 korg) no aftertouch (Korg have it) no sequencer (korg have it), more pacth at JS 128 arpegiattor (korg 2 arp 216 preset) these are the few difference but many of the minus of JS can be "treated" with computer software (arepgiators, sequencer)
So i want you're opinion about this: you recomand JS instead of Korg? JS have important bugs or any signifcantly problems?

i'm new in this so pls don't judge me hard if the questions sound odd. Sorry also for my english. Thank you.

I would surely recommend the Stage. It's sound engine is based on the Fantom-X, it basically has the same sound chip inside and same high quality. The polyphony of 128 voices makes a big difference, especially for sustained sounds like piano, as well as for many layered sounds. On the other hand, Korg TR is a stripped-down version of the Triton, and it doesn't have as much quality and sonic possibilities as Juno Stage.

@ dannyg

If you want a sequencer then there is the JUNO G.

The JUNO Stage is not a workstation but more a live instrument on stage, so you can't record anything.

Hello
Thank you for you're answers. Well i know is dedicated for stage but i like very much the sounds. Also the sequencer missing but when i work on home any sequencer software can be use so this should not be a problem. in live probably a laptop should solve this problem

First i look for Korg because in my opinion it's more apropiate for electronic music but when i heard the sound on JS i simply was astonished. I don't have a "good piano ear" but those sound impress us very much (especialy my wife :O) )

I hope to be a good deal. I will visit this forum probably soon because at first i thnik it'a litlle bit tricky until i learn to work with this keyb.

Thank you

In the JUNO Stage there are 2 SRX slots, so you can choose:

For good piano sounds: SRX-02 or SRX-11

For electronic music: SRX-05 or SRX-08

So, combine wisely

I have thought about the Juno Stage only for the fact I cannot find a V-Synth GT in Indiana to try out.
I am replacing 2 keyboards in my live setup, one is an Ensoniq SQ-2, it has been very faithful and I am wanting to replace it with an RD-700GX.
The other is an old Yamaha SY-55 that I wanted to replace with a V-Synth GT. I midi the units together and I use a volume pedal on the Yamaha to bring in strings or horns as I need them. This is typically what I want to do with the new setup. So going back to the Juno Stage, I went to see one and I was not that impressed with the way it was built. It seemed a little on the weak side right under the keys. Although I thought it had some great sounds, after 20 years of playing what I have, it will take some getting use to.
Any thoughts, anyone?
Thanks for your help and ideas in advance.

I think when piano sound its important i cannot recommend any korg product (based what i tested and heared) and when you want complex synth engine also roland its winner in these. Maybe only ambient sounds are better in rolands. but i think when you made sounds itself Roland is better. If all goes well i also buy some modern Roland someday. Currently mostly Juno Stage/Juno G. ps. some electronic music srx-07 its better choice becouse this type music uses more analog synths and mellotrons than these modern "dance" cards offer. electronic music is so wide genre actually type what i like most iuses analogs and mellotron, vako orchestron etc. and in my style i add this list acoustic instruments.
