mystery SYSEX in micro edit? X6
17 Sep 2007, 18:36I have recently found the joy of micro editing. I usually try to record parts exactly the way I want them(no step record), which can be a pain even WITH quantize, especially for those of us who can't play piano ;-P So I started messing with micro edit to adjust notes, duration, velocity, etc. I get the results I'm after, but I started noticing A LOT of sysex messages(all the same) while looking at the micro edit screen. Why would there be so many of the same sysex messages? If it helps I can post the sysex code.....which is alien to me, to aid in the answer.
This could be a coincidence, but when I erased all those seemingly unneeded sysexs while in the micro edit screen, my X6 FROZE(it's only done that once in 4 years) when I exited micro edit to listen to the results of my editing......and OF COURSE I hadn't saved yet
have an idea??????
