Hardware questions for X8

Hey. My fantom X8 is getting here tommorow, and I'm excited obviously. I'm going to get a stand and I'm debating whether to get the roland/ultimate V stand, or a Quiklok 642 X-brace. I don't want the X8 to wobble if I'm pounding on the upper or low end of the keys? Do you know which one is more solid in that regard? Or a different stand? Also do you know the cheapest place to get 512mb DIMM? Ebay has a lot of "buy it now"s for 80$. Is that as cheap as it gets? THanks

Congratulations on your X8! I'm not sure of the stand question, I don't own either. However, in terms of memory, please check the FAQs (there is a 'sticky' link) for the specs. The memory on Ebay may not be compatible.

I would do the V stand. I would never do an X stand, ever. Xs are for ironing.

I've got an On-Stage Heavy Duty Dual-Tier Z-Style stand. I got it for $100 (some have gotten it for $70 or $80, but I was desperate). Get the heavy duty, not the regular On-Stage. Lots of space for pedals underneath with a Z-style stand as well.

$80 seems expensive for memory, I know memory has gone up in price recently, but I got some from buy.com. Their current price seems to be $73 (Kingston PC133 168pin), but it's free shipping as well and they package stuff well to ship and you don't have to deal with ebay scams either.
