Do you have "Remote Keyboard Switch" set to ON in System settings?

I have the same problem, anyone solved it maybe?

I used Cakewalk Sonar, toggled MIDI port "Roland V-Synth XT" on in menu Projects/Options/Sync. I switched Clock Source to USB MIDI on XT in System/MIDI USB.

It can be the problem that I used USB MIDI to communicate with Sonar and I connected at the same time a master keyboard to XT via the normal MIDI port?

If I cannot solve this problem I will buy a Novation USB keyboard for play and use the normal MDI port for clock source from the PC.

I had similiar problems triggering the Appregiator from FL studio.

If the remote keyboard switch is on check the tempo/bpm of the appregiator being played. If this is set to MIDI instead of a actual tempo the appregiator will not trigger since there is not MIDI clock signal.

Now if you press play on your sequencer (Sonar/FL/Cakewalk) and now try play the appregiator it should work as there is a MIDI clock signal. The only problem is that is if you have the Remote Keyboard Switch set to ON the only channel that responds is Channel 1.

Now Biga what you are describing might be true. I tried to run my V-synth with USB MIDI and the normal MIDI connections to a USB and did not have much success. Any one else tried this?

Anyway I hope it helps!

Hello, I got this message from Roland support:

The MIDI Clock does not operate via USB.
This is a kind of specification of V-Synth/V-Synth XT, not a bug."

Hello guys! The manual says that u can operate the V synth XT with just a single USB cable.I think Jim Stout said the same thing in a video demo.If we cant use the arpegiator with USB cable we need another one midi cable.Anyway,in the first days with my V synth i was searching the system settings,i was asking my friends and i did nt found an answer until i found V TRIBE!!!!!!!thank you!!!!
