Doing without a mixer: chaining synths

I'm now realising I won't have enough money for a mixer, and I have to run my synths through one another (as I have been doing so far).

Now I'm getting a V-Synth and maybe a Triton rack. Will the soundquality be seriously affected when I chain these synths togeteher? cs6x -> motif es-> v-synth-> pc
How will the cs6x' sound end up in the pc after going through all these convertors?

I think the v-synth only sends it's input to output when in sampling mode, or using an osc as audio in. I guess you could chain them in another order...

But cmon.... that's a lot of cash to spend on synths without getting a mixer....

Yeah, I know...

Nah, I'll probably get a mixer afterall. I'll check out the secondhand market first. Probably aiming for a mackie 1202-vlz pro.
