V-synth vocal designer vc2

Oh My Gosh...

I cannot even begin to explain the amazing sound of my new vc2 card...

if you need vocals this is the card to buy. acurate pitch detection for flawlessly improved vocals...I can sing my male and female parts convincingly

you know the coolest thing is that i have my fantom hooked up through midi.. so whatever music i play ... my vocals harmonize to the music...

the formants are unbeleiveable and I cant wait to build some of this stuff myself... beat vocoders and stuff...

I am absolutly freakin overjoyed ... no boundaries... now i dont need anybody... guitarist, vocals.. drums... LOL...

ask the questions... i will attempt to answer...

It seriously caught my attention after vc-2 release (well, honestly, XT as well). now i decided to think it is my dream :))) in fact i would get an analog module (maybe SE ATC-X) first. but V-Synth XT with VC-2 is my number 2 for a while, he-he.

btw after reading specs i think it whould take years to dig in. it is not correlate well with my day job :( what do you think, JC? how easy and productive is it in use?

i don't know what else to ask... i want it! :)

Peace,

well there are a lot of features but they are easy to use with a little practice... i didnt even read the manual... except that you have to move your microphone input to the right input rather than left....

the presets are great... and with some tweaking it can create perfect female vocals without any keyboard interaction... the pitch detecter is highly acurate so you have to be very articulate and i would suggest a condenser mic with a pop screen because it detects wind as pitch.... if you blow over the mic it will warble... i fixed it by raising the gain and backing up quite a bit... as far as options... geez... i dont know where to start... you can choose to add or subtract as much of your voice as you want... the harmonies are very very acurate.... and the choir models are better than having your own choir.... this is definately not a gimmick peice of equipment... i was worried that i would be dissapointed and am far from that...

I just realized you may be curious about the other v-syth features as well... ease of use and whatnot...
I find the v-synth to be very easy to use.. but also very deep... i spent about a month... turning knobs and learning what does what... and as a performance and as a studio peice it is very easy to use... I would recommend the v-synth rather than the module... you lose the touchy feely with a module... and the layout is much better... the aftertouch is almost perfect... and it is sexy looking to boot..

about module vs kb: doesn't XT have extra features?

does VC-2 have something like a mic pre-amp? i beleive it has some cosm algorithm. is it any good as a pre-amp, or it would be better to plug decent another one before its input?

xt has the vc1 card preinstalled

i will have to check on the preamp... i do know it has options for reducing noise and other options but must read more about it...

i will probably get a condenser mic and a good pre amp anyways... you definatley need a pop screen
