Jesus, it's minus 27 celcius here (-37 celcius with the wind factor taken)

I would not try to start my FS outside.
Do you have similar temperature in Ukraine Art ?????

Tomorrow it's gonna be 17 degrees F here (Nebraska) and the first thing I did when I got home was taking the FA76 and the Fantom X6 out of the car. I used to not care with my Alesis QS8 , then I kinda cared with the FA76. Now I really care with the FX6.

Has anybody had a synth go bad from leaving it in the cold? I'm not talking about using it when it's cold (condensation, etc.), but actually going bad just from getting cold, like leaving it in the car overnight.

Damn that's cold! I'm spoiled here in California I guess. The coldest it's become here in Fresno in many years was like 28 degrees Fahrenheit (about -2 degrees Celsius), and that was at night in the winter maybe a few years ago.

We have +3..+5 here for around a month. It's the warmest winter I remember. The lowest temperature I recorn was about 7-8 years ago, we had -25 or so.

Greeting from New Mexico where it has been in the mid to upper 50’s F for the entire week and most winters are very mild. I hate the cold to the point that I no longer take part in winter sports, which used to be my favorite. Guess that will have to change if my daughter decided she wants to ski or snowboard.

Mexico, sometimes my FS88 (and in the past my JV-90) stays in the truck bed for a week at a time. I'm not lazy, but certain times of the year are very busy, and I work full time, so it's just not practical to unload at midnight and reload at 7 AM.

So far, everything has survived. The JV-90 is now 11 years old, with nothing but one key cleaning and a couple of SR-JV card changes over the years.

One of the reasons I recommend Roland gear to my peers.

Yep it was -41 C here in Ottawa on Wednesday, I hate January

I used to leave my FA76 out in the cold overnight sometimes and yeah I think it did hurt the LCD screen eventually. I started to see some discolouration (some parts of the screen got brighter/darker than the rest), so now I always bring my F-S inside when it's cold.

But one thing, if it is out in the cold for a long time, let it warm up for 30-45 minutes before you turn it on, I read after the fact that it does more harm to turn it on when it's cold, if you let it warm up it might not be that bad.

Rick, I am in Ottawa too. I am having trouble playing my keyboard because I have frostbite on my pinky from last week, riding my bike to school. I like the cold days though.

It's 30°C outside, the air-cond is doing her job, and I'll swim a bit in the outside pool before doing a bit of music.

Wow, it almost dipped down to 72 F here yesterday. I almost had to put on long pants. Brrr.

Here is -20 celcius, but the problem is the amount of snow. About 150cm of snow just in one week. The school was closed for 3 days!

i dont know what to wear day to day,
yesterday it was mid 70's, and i went to bed with only a thin sheet, and hot, work up and it is now 54 and falling(48 overnight), if anyone need flu shots, its the entire city of new orleans, ive already been sick 3 times from this crap....i know to most its not cold, but its not easy to get your body to adjust to the temp when it doesnt stay

its not the size of your kit, its what you do with it!

About 10-15 years ago here (b-b-b-b-b-belgium) we had winters down to -20 Celcius. Past years this was rarely below -5. Global warming. Not as freakin' cold as it should be.
