Keyboard switch groups with MainStage

I hope someone can help me . I’m really getting so frustrated with this problem.
I’m using keyboard switch group on the fantom 0.
So what I want to do is change the instruments in MainStage when I press the pads to change the switch groups on the fantom.
Pad1 plays piano in MainStage channel 1
Pad 2 plays brass in MainStage channel 2
1st can it be done?
2nd how the hell do you do it.
I can’t figure out hoe to change the midi input channel to MainStage ?
Anybody help me ?

Do you use the Fantom-0 only as a controller for MainStage? Or do you need a mix of internal and external sounds, and switching seamlessly both internal and external zones?

I’m using a combination of internal and external sounds in a scene.
Then using switch groups I can change the combinations of sounds

I have found a bit of a work around for this.
So if I copy the scene in the fantom and set the prog change setting to a different number in each I can switch using the chain function.
I think the issue is that the pads don’t transmit prog change data.

I am not a MainStage user. However, I think there are many ways to do it:

First, you can use the Fantom-0 as the brain, and MainStage as a sound module. Instead of configuring one keyboard in MainStage that listens to all MIDI channels, configure up to 16 keyboards and assign each of them to a MIDI channel. On the Fantom-0, you can control which internal and external zones/channels are used (including the configuration of keyboard and velocity zones), and then you can use the keyboard switch groups to active/deactivate the zones.

Second, you can use MainStage as the brain, and the Fantom-0 as a keyboard controller (including the pads) and as an external sound module. On the Fantom-0, you would activate only one zone and set it to external. You would also set the pads to note pad mode, so that you use them to control MainStage. In MainStage, you configure one keyboard, and then you create both internal and external instruments within MainStage. The external instruments send MIDI to the Fantom-0, and trigger its sounds.

If I would be using MainStage, then I would do everything in MainStage. I would use virtual instruments instead of an external sound module. And I would use a keyboard controller with a better action than the Fantom-0.
