Audio Inputs

I have another synth that I would like to pass the audio (analog) through my Fantom-08 and have it mixed with the analog output of the Fantom-08. I've verified by cable connections are correct, but I'm not hearing the second synth. Is there a setting I need to check or is the Analog input just designed for the purposes of sampling?

In the effect section you need to activate the input. Unfortunately the setting get lost each power up.

Yes, that complicated (and not memorized) audio input enabling is disappointing. I would be satisfied if I could assign the audio-in switch to the S1 or S2 button. On my old Fantom-X there was a dedicated hardware button to do this.

I understand. For me the most frustrating is, that per scene the Settings of the audio input is not saved (different FX, level of Reverb, etc…)

Thanks to all for the guidance in this issue, though I'm somewhat disappointed with the answer. Oh well.
