Famtom 8 v3.0 TR REC sequencer lighting

Hi there.
I'm new to this forum and would like to ask about changes to the sequencer lighting on the Fantom 8 after the v 3.0 update has been done.
I am experiencing that when i come to use the TR REC sequencer and push the button to activate it, all 16 lights become lit red but very dimly.
Upon creating a drum sequence, say a simple 4 beat on 1 5 9 and 13, the lights become brightly lit as they should, and the rest stay dim.
Is anyone else experincing this after the version v3.0 update, as i cant see it listed as one of its features to do this.

Hi!

You're right. Here I've same behavior. Fantom 8 upgraded to firmware version 3.0
I tried changing light brigthness thru SYSTEM->General->LED Brightness Menu option ( I use dim level 4) to differents values. Same result.
It isn't listed on a Release Notes. All bets: soon 3.01

I did think it might have been an issue individual to my own keyboard.
Hopefully there will be a fix for it to put it back how it was.

It's not a bug, it's feature :-)
I think you're running into the 'beat display and step position display' that has changed in 3.0. That has dimly lit buttons to show the range:

"Example: When Scale=1/24T and Beat=2/8, the tone category buttons 1–6
correspond to each step. When a step is not input for the six buttons that
are enabled, the buttons illuminate in light red to indicate the effective
button range."

I was about to say the same about it being a feature landing with ver3.0, myself becoming very happy to read about as it was announced, and I have seen green lights are added to show that the measure selected among the pretended total for the recording is now being played (if you push play, of course) and therefore it is time to input anything.
Remember than recording more than a single key, a chord, requieres you to hold all of them before inputting via the sequencer, otherwise just a single key, the last played, will be recorded.

Thank you all for your replies.
I really ought to read the supplementary manual for each update first before making assumptions.
I'll be looking into the functionality more now I know its a feature that has been added.
