Mod wheel assign to cut off

Hi,
Anyone know how to assign cut off to mod wheel on Sence edit level not on Part Edit
And also make if mod wheel affecting certain parts not all, is this possible?
Thanks,

You do it the same way the sound designers assigned the mod wheel to control LFO in most ZEN-Core tones. And I quickly found one tone where the mod wheel is already mapped to cutoff - XV387.

There are "four" control sources, which can be set in either scene or system. Typical setting is
1: CC01 (i.e. mod wheel)
2: Aftertouch
3: CC02
4: CC04

In the Tone mod-matrix settings, Matrix source 1 is often assigned to SYS-CTL-1, with destination 1-1 as LFO-1 Pitch.

So to change it from LFO to Cutoff, go to the Mod Matrix and change the destination to Cutoff, and adjust the sensitivity as desired. If sensitivity is at zero, there is no impact. And this is a delta to the existing tone - if the filter is already wide open, then the sensitivity needs to be negative to close the filter, etc. Repeat for all active oscillators.

And for an ASM tone, you will have to use the MDP2 editor to reach behind the scenes.

I have attached a figure of how the settings look in the ZEN-Core editor, looking at Osc 1 in XV387.

You can skip a step - ignoring the system control source, and directly assigning CC-01 as source 1 in the mod matrix.

With the mod matrix, you can send almost any source to any destination.

Thanks Desert, great explanation.
