What is the resale value of an F-S 61?

Hey guys,

Does anyone know what the resale value of an F-S61 might be?

With the Fantom-Xa out, I'm thinking about getting rid of my F-S 61 and getting one of those. Since it looks to be price between $1,000-$1,400, I may be able to sell my F-S 61 and not have to add too much more money to get a Fantom Xa. I'd have to hurry and sell my F-S before the resale value on the F-S drops, though.

Does anyone have any idea for how much I could sell it for?

Hi Henry,

The average price the Fantom-S is selling for on ebay is $1,000 to $1,200 at the moment. I posted a new thread on the Fantom-Xa $1,395.97 price on Sweetwater Music. If you can sell your Fantom-S at this average price on ebay you may only need $200 to $300 to buy the Fantom-Xa. Hope this helps.

IMHO, I don't think selling an FS to get an FXa is a viable "upgrade"...as far as I understand, the FXa is basically an FS with 128-voice polyphony, and without the user interface...there are other features, but none of them grab me enough to want to get rid of my FS in favor of the FXa...

You should think twice before swaping.

You'll get the sexy 128 voice capability and better ergo with numeric keypad.

However you will also get a not so sexy wall wart, smaller display, lighter keybed. And no word yet on the DAC's quality.
