Whoa, took me awhile to find this thread :-)
Actually, I'm American; Yosua's my last name. I have a Fantom-S, but it's only being used right now for playing, not composing, as I'm very busy at college. Hopefully one day, I can come up with a song to post for everyone here. My music theory class has a techno-song composition assignment coming up, and I think the Fantom could be well-used there!
So unfortunately I'm not Indonesian, but thanks for the welcome. :-) By the way, I've heard a lot of your works from the link on your signature, I'm really impressed with them. Good work!

Hi Matthew!

I thought that my post was erased or something.

Well, i posted this thread in general themes... but it seems that artemio had put this thread in free zone..hehe..
I'm glad that you like my songs... i'm in college too and have no time just like you.. i made those songs in the times where i was frustated and were not motivated enough to learn for my college... hehe..

thanks a lot septimo for your kind words.. hope artemio put some of my songs that i made in the second compilation cd..

Very impressive. All I have listened to so far is Waktu. I only wish I could perform a piece like that someday. I bet you made your mama cry when you performed it for her. Keep up the excellent works.

Wow... i wasn't expecting to get your good responses.. I posted those songs in this forum long, long time ago. I'm glad and thankful for your listening and kind words..

sambasevam, that piano patch was played directly from fantom-s. The patch was Ultimate Grand from Fantom X, which has been adapted for fantom-s users. It was a great work from our friends here in this forum. I think it was Lawrencew who made it.
And the most of them are first takes.. I hate it to repeat over and over again when i'm recording a song. The more you try to play perfect.. the more mistakes you make.. weird, isn't it?

pianodick, i don't know if my mom cried or not. She lives in indonesia. i just sent her the mp3. But i made one of my girlfriends cry with that song.... hehe..

nsheldon, i'm a great fan of classical piano too, especially those pieces from franz liszt. i'm dreaming now of a master keyboard with 88 keys, last month i bought the grand vst and its sound quality just blown me away.
Has anyone from you has a tip for me? What about keystation 88pro, or fatar sl880...

Hi ion.

Regarding your question about what 88 key keyboard to get, I've tried the Keystation 88Pro and the S/880 and can't say I like the feel of either really. Especially the Keystation 88Pro. It feels very must like a toy and nothing close to a real piano. The S/880 is better but still not great. I've tried the following 88 key keyboards.

* Roland Fantom-X8
* Roland A-90EX
* Yamaha P80
* Yamaha Motif ES8
* Yamaha Motif 8
* Kurzweil PC2X
* M-Audio Keystation 88Pro
* StudioLogic S/880
* StudioLogic S/900
* Korg Triton Studio (88 key version)
* Korg Triton Extreme (88 key version)

Of all those, I think the Yamaha P80, Roland A-90EX, and Fantom-X8 had the closest feel to a real piano (though not quite like the real thing). The worst was the Keystation 88Pro. The Kurzweil and Tritons were in the middle. The S/880 and S/900 were only a bit better than the 88Pro but not as good as the Tritons or PC2X.

Of course, this is all rather subjective, so I'd suggest you try out the feel of some 88 key keyboards yourself before buying. Overall, I haven't tried a stand-alone 88 key keyboard that I liked (that isn't a synthesizer as well) that I liked other than the Roland A-90EX.

thanks nsheldon for your answer...

i was actually very interested in keystation 88 pro because of its fader, knobs, etc.. But the price is simply to good to be true. At the time i just can afford something for about 500 Eur.
I can't get P80 or A-90EX at that price, right?

Well, i think i gotta save some money first. But though i'll try those master keyboards for myself.

Thanks again nsheldon...
