next Axial download?

To remove it is maybe one way: in the Utility menu make Backup on SD CARD, then Factory Reset, then Restore from SD CARD.
No, there is no user space consumption from the EXP boards.

Booo...getting bored of the sample packs

hope there's not 10 months of them..
sample packs are pointless...you can sample form anywhere
i prefer to make my own.

let's have some FA based stuff please!

I'm just agree that you all.
Roland has to stop useless sample packs that nobody wants and worry about releasing new updates to the FA.

Users want new updates, new expansions, new features and new sounds and be useless sample packs that are above demonstrations and to purchase the full product pay.

I hope Roland hear our pleas.
Greetings.

I knew this would happen. Though much marketing went into the tonal edit possibilities, it seems no one at Roland wants to take the time to make new libraries or discuss ideas with customers.

What worries me is that no third party are interested in programming sounds
for the Fa or the sound canvas, I have a MOXF and use to have a Kronos
and there where many library available.

For the Fa it's the desert, nothing, but those lousy samples (not even made for the
Fa or the Sound canvas by the way )

It would be nice to have new studio set, but it's almost impossible to load them
it's not motivating for a programmer.

With no computer editor available, I doubt many people want to shorten the lifespan of their buttons and jog-wheel with all the menu diving and tone saving required.

One of the big issues is: Saving a Studio Set will not save any changes to the tones. Each modified tone needs to be re-saved as a new tone if you intend to recall any changes you made to it. Now that will eventually limit how many original tones you can make. This kills a lot of motivation. The Fantom X was much more fun to edit.

You could always hookup a Integra 7 and get all the sounds and more to play on the FA

Lucky you if you can buy both, but it's much to expansive for most...

The more expansive, the more expensive ;)

I'm still in love with the SRX boards, but two slots for EXP is not enough. You could buy a used SonicCell and two SRX boards, on Ebay Germany this would add up to about 450-500 euros, if you wait a bit for cheap offers. In this way, through the SonicCell preset sounds you would also get a large part of the Fantom X sounds, which are newer than the XV5080 PCM section of the FA.

Of course it two slots are NOT enough.
Roland should release a new firmware, wherein the slots are extended to charge more expansions in the FA.
Also I have to say that of the 12 SRX cards available in the market, have only released 10 expansions for the FA, pending expansion to convert into the FA them both:
SRX-01 Dynamic Drum Kits and SRX-05 Supreme Dance

Although, with the new XA and Xi projects, I doubt that Roland wants strive to release new updates and firmware for the FA ...
I hope we get lucky and not stay lying to ourselves as has happened in previous Roland products ...

Unless they sit down and make something 100% unheard of before, I don't think there will be anything *but* new sample packs. Thankfully I guess I'm least bothered by this because I have little time to make my own samples, and little patients either, so letting others do the hard work is cool in my book. I'm inspired by the last pack released in particular. We can complain, or we can go with the flow and use them to ssupplement new or existing projects/ideas as I have:
http://soundcloud.com/andre-louis/beauty-in-quiet-moments.
My Fantom XR and Juno-G serve as the other SRX-capable boxes so between those, and the two slots in the FA, I have almost the full complement of boards, and what I don't have, I don't particularly care for. SRX 2, 4 and 12 are alright, and those are available from axial, so I can swap with SRX 8 and 10 (EXP 1 and 7) in my FA as I wish.
One would hope that now they know how to perhaps compress better, they will redo some of the more pathetic offerings such as the SRX7 equivalent (was that EXP2?) It misses all the divine things that make SRX7 what it is. The acoustic basses, bass slides, the tacky drums, but most of all, the bass slides. Did I mention the bass slides? I don't know, having not looked through the wave forms in the FA if there are any in-built, but if they are, they're not in any patches to my knowledge. It's bloody irritating!
Redo that and include all the sounds. The fact they managed it with SRX6 (EXP10) is telling, so why not SRX7? Who's bright idea was that one?
