Pitchbend problems (again!)

Pitchbend problems (again!)

27 Jun 2012, 10:20
Is anyone having problems with the joystick on their Di's? A while back I had to send my Di in for servicing because there was a problem with the joystick. It functioned fine for bending.., but sometimes when pushed forward for modulation.., the preset LFO rate would sound off and make the patch sound out of tune.

I sent it back to Sweetwater.., and they (to play it safe) just replaced the entire joystick. Well now I'm having the same problem again. However.., this makes me wonder if it's really a hardware issue and not a software related issue. I do remember many reports of issues with (out of tune) patches used with the joystick on the old Juno-G.

Any suggestions?

I see this is an old post, squeak_D. I'm wondering was it resolved for you? I am having the same problem - usually when I haven't used the keyboard for a while (a while being as little as 24 hours). I had thought it maybe dust in the circuitry, but once it stopped doing it, I covered the keyboard when not in use and have just gone to use it and initially it was worse than ever. It is very disappointing and frustrating as the keyboard is not even a year old yet.

Anybody else have any ideas?

Same happens to me as well ! My Synth is less than a year old (without considering the showroom-shelf period)
and I'm having the same problem.

As MarcF has noticed, usually, it happens when the synth has not been used for a while.

To overcome the problem, I do perform a " - X " several times before a "+ Y " modulation.
