Guys need your help connecting the Fantom to record using Au

Hey guys,

I have sequenced my tracks on the fantom x and would like to record indiviual tracks into audacity and then later mix and master there.

The problem is im not sure which outputs of the fantom to use to get a stereo signal into audacity. At the moment im using a single RCA to Line in cable. Which means, i could either use the (Mono) L jack of the fantom to record into the line in of my laptop. Or..... OK ? this would sound wierd but may be the Stereo Headphones jack of the fantom to record.

Can anyone help me regarding what output jack to use ? What about the Digital output jacks of the fantom ? can they give out stereo sound quality ?

line in in laptops are usually low quality inputs, so my advice is to use resampling ( one track afrer another... you can mute tracks in fantom) or use digital out if your soundcard has digital input... digital out should be ok, however this needs somebody's else confirmation as i have Juno-g and it has no digital out

Thanks for the reply I AM.. i think this line in thing aint gona work :( Resampling is really time consuming in the fantom track wise. And i dont wanna take tht route.

Any ideas abt an external sound card maybe ?

Also looking for more feedback guys :)
