recording Automation w/ MFX (on Wet/Dry settings)

recording Automation w/ MFX (on Wet/Dry settings)

Hey guys, I'm hoping to automate the MFX1 output on a patch, essentially controlling the wet/dry ratio but for some reason I don't see it as an option.

I went through the Menu/System Knob+Slider setup page and don't see that as an option (btw, I have the slider mode to catch, Knob & slider assign 'select' to fix & knob & slider assign 'source' set to TEMP).

I've also spent time in the Effects Routing screen during record mode, hoping that I could capture automation of the knobs there but it doesn't seem to work. Ideally I'd like to be able to record (in automation) the turning On/Off of the MFX altogether, even better would be to record the manipulation of the wet/dry output on the effects. This seems to be a simple thing to do but I've spent pleanty of time in the manual and can't figure it out.

your guidance is appreciated!

Go to the system settings, and on the MIDI page, turn on Transmit Edit Data. This will send all onscreen parameter changes (made via knobs or value dial) as system messages, and you ca automate anything - really anything.

Thanks Artemiy, not sure how I missed that. I'll give it a go today.

Appreciate the tip!

A related question with possibly the same answer - How do you record volume changes for audio tracks and where do te values end up? I'm familar with how to do this on Midi tracks but its not clear to me how this is done for audio. If its possible that is.

Thanks

You can't do that, not even with SysEx. The only thing you can do is bounce a bunch of audio tracks into a new stereo audio track, while mixing them down in realtime. Not much of convenience in a modern DAW-wannabe workstation sequencer.
