Fantom G as a Drum Machine use RPS on pads then trigger with

Hi Guys,

For live play I still like to be able to trigger my own spontaneous fills and endings on some of my songs.
I have an old Korg DDD-5 drum machine that would let you do fills and song endings by tapping a footswitch.

Would it be possible to use the G like a drum machine by doing the following:

1. Grab some of my favorite patterns from my old ddd-5 drum machine that contain "endings" "fills" etc. and import/record their midi into the G

2. Set the G's pad mode up to "Rhythm Patterns" and map them to the newly imported material from my old DDD-5 drum machine....so that i.e. Pad 1 would be a FILL and Pad 2 would be a Song Ending

3. Use a Midi Foot controller like the Behringer FCB-1010 or the Roland PK-5A to "remotely trigger" the pads on the G8

Any help appreciated,
Thx,
Jon

@ Jon

You couldn't just trigger the pads yourself? (I mean with your fingers :)

Thanks for the reply......too busy with fingers on multiple keyboards to be able to hit the pads with fingers.

Thx,
Jon

"You couldn't just trigger the pads yourself? (I mean with your finders :) "

A bizarre question? ^^

Because his ten fingers do (play) other things

Also....I might be incorrect in trying to involve the Roland G's PADS at all...............

Maybe instead of using the PADS as the trigger for the drum midi patterns, there is a way to load the drum patterns into a Roland G
"live mode" program and then just have the Behringer footswitch playback a midi note value that would actually trigger the midi pattern?

Thx,
Jon

I probably should not have responded period... thinking now... "he probably already thought of that"

LOL
