so when new RD-700GF is due?

I mean as much as I like this keyboard I hate it as well...
In this price range I'd expect flash drive audio recording, usable drum's rhythms and very good basic sounds like EP's and Acoustic Pianos. None of these is happening now
so if roland won't come up with something new quickly I switch to yamaha CP5 or something like that. Great action is not enough and I'd expect in new RD wooden keys...

Well,I won't say a word about the sounds because I love the sounds on the RD but to answer your initial question... I don't know.
But,
Knowing Roland as I do, I bet you'll never get a wooden keyboard on a Roland keyboard - the last one was in the RD-1000 many, may years ago.

The flash drive audio recording just don't sounds right to me on a product line like the RD but that's just me.

>>>I bet you'll never get a wooden keyboard on a Roland keyboard

why not? the action is almost perfect, with wooden keys would be it but if they didn't put them in V-piano so maybe you're right.

Audio recording I found very useful as scratchpad when I'm noodling and improvising.
Don't think like turning on always motif XS.

Make a wooden keyboard its just not cost effective for a company like Roland.
Yamaha, Kawai and others can do it because they already do it for their acoustics. Its as simple as that.

Also, I understand the audio recording usefullness. But after that you would be asking for audio editing, sequencer editing (for that usefull drums patterns you mention) and, why not, more effects and you'd be getting a .... Fantom-G. It's just not the way that the RD line is thought.

Just say NO to wooden keys. Yamaha often fakes them (plastic with wood inserts, and only on the white keys) but more importantly they add weight, which doesn't make a lot of sense for a stage piano where portability is key (pun intended).

A simple WAV or MP3 recording feature would be very welcome however - all the other DPs seem to be getting them, why not the RD? In a recording quality DP such as the RD-700GXF it would be a godsend, particularly if you could render MIDI to WAV directly.

What the F... is with that "F" being added to all Roland products by some itching-for-new-stuff people? Will you guys calm down please?
