i have a juno g for some months but feeling some problems==== 1) i had a xp 50 with world & session exp boards earlier. the ethnic patches & basically indian instruments were very good. in juno g i could not find patches nearer to those tones like sitar, bamboo flute,accordion,...how can i add some patches of world collection to my juno g? 2) i have some vsti by which i am creating music now. can i put those tones into juno g via sampling and use them like a patch? please help..

Kevin Costner?

About the patches, the Juno has a some sitars, flutes, and three accordians. I'm not sure I'd recognize a bamboo flute, but have you looked at SRX-09 (World)?

dear dbijoux, thnx for responding,as a matter of fact juno g has only 1 slot and i have no srx 09 ,the slot is occupied by srx 98 free shipped with the board. how can i download or add the srx 09 sounds in my board? please suggest.... 1thing more can i use fantom x sounds in juno g...

Well, if you want world sounds, you'll probably be much happier with SRX 09 than Analog Essentials(98).

Can you download or add to the SRX? No. They are hardware memory and have their own extra waveforms stored in their circuits.

As for Fantom-X sounds, I'm not really sure. It's been said here, no this is impossible. However, I've loaded a patch from the X before. What I'm uncertain about is that it was in .midi format.

If you are ok with using VSTi, SwarPlug has the best Indian sounds. I bought the VSTi version and it is as close as you can get to Indian instruments.

You can use SwarPlug either as any VST instrument through your DAW software, or do sampling in the Juno-G and assign sounds to individual keys. Swarplug has provided all the wav files during installation, which can be used for sampling. I have not done that yet, but intend to do it in the next several weeks.

but according to manual multisampling is not possible. so,we have to place those tones on the keys one by one, and it`s reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy an work. no other way? any way please let me know when u have done.

That is correct, there is no multisampling and the workaround w/rhythm kits are minimally functional at best.

It'd be great to see this in a 3.0 update, it would definitely be as useful as the 2.0 sampling upgrade..

I agree with you all.. multisampling would be a great addition in 3.0. For now, adding one by one is the only option. That is the reason I have been postponing.

Actually, I need only about 3 or 4 out of the 70 swarplug instruments, and I will try to sample them first.

If you have bought Swarplug, you can request them for a key mapping document which should have the mappings for most of their instruments.

Once you have it, you can use 'patch edit' method to create new instrument patches. I think once we start doing it, it should be fairly fast, as only a few keys need to be mapped for each instrument.
