Need recommendation for SRX card

Hi all,

I am looking to buy an SRX card for my Juno Stage, and I cannot decide between SRX 11, 12 or 3.

I am leaning toward the SRX 03, because it adds more basses and guitars amogst other things, and if I remember correctly the Juno Stage has quite good pianos and keyboard sounds already.

Any advice/tips appreciated. I am also going to by teh expansion packs from Artemiy, so if you bear that in mind as I don't want to double up too much.

Neither of the SRX boards has sounds similar to what I offer, so you're safe here

In any case, the boards you listed are quite different... but I think the SRX-03 differs most from what is inside the JUNO, and it has a much wider variety of sounds than 11 and 12.

hello...
I had the same problem. Which srx board?
I m playing in a coverband (Rock and Pop) and I m using SRX-6 Complete Orchestra and SRX-7 Ultimate Keys... Those boards also have a bigger variety of sounds than the boards you mentioned.... But you are looking for guitar and basses....
I also tried out SRX-09 World Coll but for me the Sounds were useless...
I m not quite satisfied with the pianos taht are already in the JS, if there was a third slot I would get SRX-11 Complete Piano...

The organ sounds from the SRX-7 Board are very good if you turn of the internal effects and send it through a Leslie Clone! I use the Neo Instruments Ventilator! Perfect!

But actually it depends on the sounds YOU need...

Thanks guys..

I finally went for the SRX-03 card, and I am currently looking for a 12 as well.

I think those two coupled with Artemiys' gear will set me up nicely.

It will be interesting as I am coming from Yamaha gear (XS series) to see how good I can get my files to sound with Roland again

XS and JS are not the same "class"...

hmmm , maybe...but with some creative tweaking I think it might be okay.

To be honest I was never really a fan of the XS pianos. The EP's were good, which is why I am looking to buy the EP card 12...

If its no good I will just get a rack.

Also NONE of the Yammies can play MP3's and I have a few of them I use live as backing tracks, so the JS makes some sense there.

Anway we shall see
