PLEASE HELP! fantom-s software from factory disks
11 Mar 2010, 19:24question #1 how can I locate the software from the disks that came with my fantom-s. I can't find my original disks. I've been loading midi files on my fantom-s from a desktop that I loaded the original software on, but now I want to use a laptop, and can't find my disks.
question #2 Also,if I upgrade my software in the keyboard to the latest version will it affect my sequences or user patches? Will I have to do a user backup before upgrading?
I saw 6.1 in FAQ, and it SEEMED to say I could just plug my fantom-s into my laptop and transfer away, but I THOUGHT I remembered that I had to use the software of the disk to trasfer midi files to prevent problems in the keyboard, software,etc.
If I don't need anything to load these files onto my fantom-s, please.... someone who REALLY KNOWS they are talking about (and is patient enough to deal with someone who knows nothing) help me....please.
I know the answer is somewhere in the forum, but I searched every way I could think of before bothering you guys....Thanks in advance for helping me!
