How hard to fix "clicking" keys on a RD-700?

My studio keyboard is a Roland RD-700 (not a GX). In addition to doing MIDI, studio-oriented things, I also use it as my practice piano for classical work. It gets a lot of use. The repeated banging has finally taken its toll. Many of the keys are starting to "click" when they bottom out on a hard press. I'm assuming there's some sort of pad under each key to absorb the shock and these pads are starting to wear out. I'm also assuming that the right thing to do at this point is to replace all of those pads (reckon there should be 'bout 88 of 'em). Maybe that's an over estimate -- the highest and lowest registers are probably not as worn, but you get the idea).

I've never been much of a mechanical guy -- much more of an electrical and software guy. So, I'm not expecting to be real handy but I wanted to ask the group how hard this is to do. Is it the sort of thing I should be able to do myself or is it the sort of thing that I should find someone else to service? Also, any guess on how much this ought to cost?

thx, Vince

some of my notes are "clicking" too. which ares are causing trouble for you? Mine seem to A0 and B0 mainly. Is this just the way the piano was designed?
