Maybe it's me?

Maybe it's me?

17 Feb 2010, 17:02
I am not here to whine and complain but.... I noticed over the years whenever I ask a question there has never been an attempt to answer. Is there something I am doing wrong? Maybe its my profile name? This is a forum right?

I bought the Tweakbook (didn't help with what I needed) is it what I am asking or whose asking? Maybe it is me just tripping?

But anyway, if someone knows where I can find the Sysex Dump "folder" let me know.

You have to remember that no one here is being paid for offering their help -- it's a labor of love, done with whatever spare time the members happen to have.

I myself have a thread that I'm patiently waiting on. It would be nice to have an answer, but I understand that beggars can't be choosers. If someone has the time and inclination to help, great! Otherwise, at least I'm no worse off than I was before and if I solve it myself, I can update the thread so that others may learn.

Yea that's a "safe" response but someone did reply saying they WOULD HELP YOU. That gives you something to wait for with expectation of a upcoming solution.

It's two different questions, the question I asked (about the Sysex dump midi file(s)), is something that is available and has been downloaded before I just don't know where and if it still exists or not.

I do appreciate the response though, and I am waiting patiently. The purpose of my post was to literally ask if there was something I myself was doing wrong? I have had people help with problems before (I don't/didn't have a lot of questions).

By the way, I had no idea of what you were talking about by reading your heading, but after reading it I would recommend the Tweakbook (not to be misunderstood in my previous post) it helped me make the "whistle" type of synth leads (as well as "I can't remember his name") I was looking for and some other sounds. Good luck man and thanks for responding.

There are very few posts that are left without a reply and for one of the reasons:
1) The question is asked in such a way that it's hard to understand what the author needs. Maybe the topic subject is not getting any attention.
2) The question is so special that nobody who had a chance to notice it knows the answer.
3) The topic was simply missed... Can happen sometimes, there are no answering machines here, all humans ;-)

Anyways, I am the author of the SysEx Dumps and here they are attached,

@ Artemiy - Wow, I never knew that SysEx file existed! Is it in the Library,

@ dasinsasion - personally, I only normally reply to a thread if I can offer something contructive. It also depends on if I have any idea how to answer a question as well. Also, like oneota said, we all dip in here around our daily lives. If I have more time to spare I'm on here more. Sometimes, I only have time to read, and by the time I come back to answer a question has been dealt with. I'm sure it's the same for a lot of other folks. Don't take it personally! We've all had threads go unanswered.

Andy, no, this download is not in the Library, but I guess it's time to put it there.

That would be good, Artemiy. There is some really useful stuff in there.
