Noowbie question for OG user...

How in the world do you set the drum patch that you want to load at start up? I've been racking my brain and can't remember how to do it. I also tried the search engine, but I had no luck. I'm embaressed to ask, but I know someone here can help... Thanks in advance!

Hi wudsiba,

You can't! It always boots up with User Kit 001 in Patch Mode.

I'm not sure if you can choose it by having the Fantom boot up in Performance mode.

Hmm. I actually remember something from my nightly manual review (no joke, I am obsessed-hahah). I remember something about setting a "preferred rhythm kit" or something. I will check and get back to you on this.

I think you should be able to do it this way: set bootup mode to STUDIO or LIVE, then modify the corresponding STUDIO or LIVE set #001 to have the kit you want on the pads.

If it just loaded user 001 that would be no problem because I could save the set I wanted as user 001. Mine loads up as the first expansion drumset. XPA 001... I'm almost sure it use to load the first user spot. I'm stumped.

You are perfectly right.
In Patch mode You could always save the KIT you want at USER 001 position, and even calling it something else like Wudsiba-kit01

In Performance mode, the Default kit will be the one saved with the USER 001 Performance, but of course will change each time you choose a different performance.
