Thank you Mr Steve Howell for everything !!!

As I am posting this at several forums I will not have the time to answer any questions.
There is still some work to do for this small release.

And the samples are up.
For the FantomX I have created 2 Patches.

Just use a new CF card and copy the uncompressed files and folders on the card.

These samples are AMAZING. I went to the website, which sample should I use? I want this for my fantom x8. I've been listening to the sampled MP3's over and over and totally amazed.

Thank you..

Rob,

Great you like them!

Because I own a FantomX7 too I have made a Fantom-X version!

You can download the Fantom-X version here:
Just scroll down till you see the fantom version. Unzip it (with 7zip) and only thing you have to do is to copy the contents on a new formatted CF card.

The direct link is here:

The internal fantomx reverb and phaser effect make this one of the best version around, real close to the real polymoog keyboard.

To show you how unique these sound is here is a video from someone restoring this polymoog. I have been searching for years until I found a reconditioned polymoog keyboard I could sample.

This is MORE than a little dated but HOW did I miss these? I guess that's what happens when you don’t visit a board for months.

I was just going through old Clan forum posts and found this thread - I have these on my Fusion 8HD so I already have a place in my heart for them (Now I wonder what did I miss in posts no longer on the forum?)

I want to thank Joeri, belatedly, for making them available on both platforms!

Now I got to go load ‘em up

Hi Larry!

They will also be included in the to be released "Fantomas v2.010" soundbank together with the other PK280A string sounds.
One program uses all three PK string multisamples layered, probably the warmest sampled analog string sound available for the FantomX(x) till now.

So far I am very satisfied with the programmed sounds. The problem is I want to play the sounds over and over again instead of programming new ones.
Some sounds sound huge, warm, fat thus very american sounding like in the old days when the ensoniq VFX, Emu, Alesis Quadrasynth (roland D50, JD800) and other synths were flagships. IMO the latest generation synths sometimes sound cold and a lot of sounds are just drowned in reverb to make them sound more interesting.

I completely agree - they are excellent synths but a little sterile and need "human” touch . Looking forward to new library!
