How To Decide Which Posts Are Worthy Of Answers???
11 Feb 2009, 06:37I have read through the forum to find an answer, and tried numerous thngs as well as reading the book. I notice where others obviously do no research and ask questions that have been covered on here a hundred times, and some people even ask hundreds of questions without research and they get answered.
I have not figured out the best way, although I got a lot of help with my earlier issues. Now that I have done the research I have what I think is an easy sequencer question, maybe someone could help. Gig coming up real fast!
I am in studio and song mode recording a song for the stage. It has to be sequenced and recorded midi so that I may sync tracks with an MC-808 Roland sequencer (which is playing a separate track simoultaneously).
I record the first 2 tracks midi with their patches set to a piano (1) and an EP (2). When I go the record the 3rd track (synth bass) I have to wait for my part to come in, and listen to the piano which is the main reference. When the piano smf file starts playing on track 1, it plays all 3 patches. What I hear is my piano with a Rhodes doubling it, all the while being doubled by a synth bass. The bass gets really interesting when the protamento changes from a low to high note, makes it impossible to even record over.
Any help would bring love and adoration. Hopefully this one will get some attention. thanks to all of those who help!
