PAD and SAMPLES Question

PAD and SAMPLES Question

28 Dec 2008, 18:59
Hi, I was wandering, how can I assign a sample to a PAD, and make the sample loop infinitely, until I press the pad button again.

Can I do it with more than one sample?

of course you can, as long as you have enough memory!!
find the sample on the sample list then press sample edit. set the loop start and end points on the screen then press F1 for sample parameters. Set loop mode to FWD. you can make any other adjustments needed here as well. press exit to return to the sample edit screen. Dont forget to save it again as you have now modified the sample. From the sample edit screen press F7 for Load Utility. Press F2 for Assign to pad. Highlight the pad you wish to use on the screen then press execute. Remember to save the rhythm or user selection on the pads if you wish to reteain this setup!

Thanks a lot Lordelix!

Here another question which I know is in the manual, but anyway. How do I save the Rythm Set

And by the way, isn't there a way to make this REAL TIME?
I mean, I turn on, and play some keyboard thing, and I press a button or whatever and it is automatically looped, and then y change for example yo a flute, and do the same and so on?

easy to do , from the main patch/instrument screen press F8 to select pads. now that the pads are the active selection press Write. At the Write menu PATCH/RYTHM should be highlighted, press ENTER . At this point you can rename the rythem set if you wish, Press F8 for Write. Select the user location you want to save in, you can leave it where it is if you want it saved in the current memory location. press F8 for write and you will get the fantom message screen asking you to confirm. press F8 for Execute, and you are done! :)

As far as automation ..... Im not sure exactly what you mean, but you should only have to do this process once. After you have set your samples loop points and saved, it will always load up with those settings :) .
