Juno G Mix(A) Outputs.. Balanced or Unbalanced?
3 Feb 2008, 03:31I have Looked and looked and looked some more.. on line, in the manual , the roland site.. I can not definitively find out whether or not the Mix A outputs on the Juno G are 1/4 Phone type TRS, or 1/4 Phone type TS.
I PRESUME they are just TS. if you look at the specs on different synths on Roland's site some SPECIFICALLY say
"1/4 Phone type TRS" (ie. Fantom X)
while others say only " 1/4 Phone Type" (ie. Juno G).
At any rate. can ANYONE clarify for certain?
I just purchased a new mixer (Yamaha MG16/6) and some new Monitors (Yamaha HS80m's) and I am re-cabling everything with nice new clean CORRECT Cables, and while some synths require only unbalanced cables, others can use Balanced. A couple of my synths have decent cable length runs to be made, so if I can use Balanced cables, I would like to.
THANKS
P.s. my last little question is actually off topic for this thread, but the Giants made it to the Superbowl so I'm feeling a bit lucky!
Above I mentioned that I got a new mixer.. the Yamaha MG16/6... well I did, but I also got a Mackie 1402 VLZ3 at the same time.. I got both so that I could take them home and A&B them to see which one I prefer.. I know thats awful right.. but its the only way i can tell which is better for the $$$ since i got them for the same exact price each. so the question is which do you prefer.. to any of you whom may have used THESE or Similar models in the past. I'm leaning towards to Yamaha.
THANKS!!!
