Have you tried to take off the roland drivers from your P.C then re install them, plus have you done a factory reset on the FX?
If you basically start from the beginning again, as if everything is new, it may rectify the problems your having.

Highly doubt your USB port is fried. Your computer is recognizing the fact that there is a device connected via USB. However, It cant determine what the device is.

It sounds like a driver issue. Restore your computer to a time when you didn't have this problem. Or, reinstall any necessary drivers. I think you can find these at Roland's support site.

Hi TR DOZIER, I'm having exactly the same problem, it seems as if the USB was fried, have you made it work?

I had a fried driver once! . . . No . . . Waaaiiit a minute! . . . I was a fried driver! The mechanic at the dealership left a rag hanging on my oil filter after an oil change. My car went up in a blaze. I had the thing less than a year. Needless to say, after some complaining, they broke down and gave me a new one. (An oil filter, that is.)

BTW. Do you know what it costs to replace a hat like mine?!!!! . . . ALOT! (Can you say 'Sophia Lauren'?)

Hi there, Big Hat Secret Agent ! by the way, do you think we should expect from your company update for Juno - G ? there are some things that update may solve.. and a bonus feature like, say, shift clock in sequencer ..... would be nice... and a thing to be proud for ))) not a big one ... but ..) !

Hi, I know is an old post. The point is I've been trying for 1 year to make my computer recognize the fantom, so, I'm reading the whole forums USB realted posts, to get a solution. It seems that many people have the same problem, but they've never solved it and conected through MIDI, but I don't have MIDI and want to use USB.
Anyone knows any other solution?
(i've tried with different cables and different computers)
