The SanDisk CF products in your links (shown above) should work fine. I just bought a generic PCMCIA adapter from a local electronics store for $10. When I bought mine, I asked for the, "slowest, branded CF cards they had," since the Fantom can't take advantage of the higher speed cards available today anyway. I personally bought four Lexar 4GB Platinum II 60x cards (the slowest cards they had), and they work just fine (shown below). And, they happened to be on sale for only $39 each.

The Fantom's display does show weird numbers for the increased CF capacity (see below), when inserting a 4GB card into the Fantom's PCMCIA slot, but it seems to recognize the increased capacity just fine. Some have reported that the Fantom has a "256 song" storage limit, regardless of actual storage capacity available. I tend to store a LOT more samples than I do songs, so running into the "256 song" limit per storage volume isn't an issue for me.
Some here also advise that buying smaller-capacity cards is a good file-management strategy (buying one card per song) and for many, that's probably a smart thing to do. But at least for me, bigger is better, since I NEVER load "all samples"—I just load the song I want to work on, and individually load the needed samples from the "sample list." Perhaps a bit more tedious, but this is what works for me and my particular workflow style.
So, depending on your workflow style, you may be better off with smaller, 512MB cards, or even 128MB cards, depending on the amount of sample recording you tend to do per song. This way, you can keep one card per song and use "load all samples" for the sake of convenience (one song—one card). The only problem is, it's getting darned hard to find the smaller-capacity cards anywhere these days (and they cost about as much as the bigger cards too!). Also, by the way, assuming your sample RAM is expanded to 512MB, you can't load anymore CF-stored samples than you have sample RAM to hold them anyway (plus it does take FOREVER load that much data from CF to sample RAM).
To summarize, I would buy any name-brand CF card, at the slowest speed available (just so you don't waste money buying extra performance that the Fantom can't use anyway), and they should work with any standard PCMCIA CF adapter.
