My Fantom X8 starts to detune!!

My Fantom X8 starts to detune!!

Some years ago I bought this flagship of Roland, the Fantom X8. I have been very happy with it, but now it starts to detune....

Does anyone have the same experience?

Why use windows when there is a door?
You should save all of you patches.

Then, try a factory reset.

Yes, My FX7 has detuned once and I had to fix it.
I am told that I should use a No Break always with the keyboard

Fantom X8 ...

I did the system reset, but it did not help.
Sometimes when I turn on the X8, the pitch is fine for a while and then it starts to detune. Or when I use the pitch bend, it does not return to the normal pitch in the neutral position.

I have been a Roland fan for years, had many synths of them, but this s*cks big time!

@rix:

(Although I sympathize with you, there is no need for foul language. I modified your post heading)

It sounds from your description that you have a hardware fault with the pitch-bender or its connected circuitry. It is time to call your local Roland service center.

try to call piano tuner, I bet he will be surprised when he'll open the X8.

I used to have a JV80 and XP30 having that kind of problem. It's the pitch bend potentiometer. I has to be replaced.
