Snowbird, you are right in so far as it is not possible to finetune the influence of the expression pedal on different parts of a layer and fade in and out the layer sound as a whole without changing the relative volumes...

In order to set the settings of the EQ globally for all LiveSets (e.g. you want to adjust the sound of the instrument to the acoustics of a specific room), you have to set the parameter Menu/0.System/EQ-Mode to "System"....
