Has anyone found an answer to this - controlling the rotary speed through the expression / any pedal. I have asked roland twice and still no answer

I tried to do this and I did eventually manage to get the pedal to control the speed, but it also held the sopund which was no use. how can I cancel the hold /sustain function while keeping it as a rotary speed control?

Are there any roland Stage users in the UK South West. interested in meting up / mutual support and explanations / tutorials etc
