After 2 months of waiting, I got my fantom XR back with upgraded MB. (I suggest you to stay away from small local shops for repair unless you know them very well. Either go to a reputable shop or send your unit to Roland directly)
So, I opened it up and found the only difference was that Roland customized DSP as nsheldon mentioned before. The problem is that I have no idea what's the processing power of this little monster.
