Problem with EXT DEVICE

Hi all,
I have an issue with my EXT DEVICE Port. I want to connect a MIDI controller to it. It seams that it is not working correctly. I tried 3 midi Keyboards (CME, Korg MicroKEY and Akai lpk25). All seam to have issues. The CME sometimes sustains a note, Korg has a horrible latency and the Akai lacks complete notes and also has horrible latency. All midi keys work fine with my DAW connected to my computer. Also connected to the Dexibell SX7 no issues. Anybody experienced same? Please check attached Video showing the CME and Korg connected via same cable to EXT DEVICE.

I still run Version 1.01. I refuse to update Firmware as I read about freezing issues and others. I play live so for me an update is no option. I would rather go with the Donner N25 which has a Midi out connector.
Please let me know if you expiring similar issues :)

Okay, just connected the Nord Lead to EXT DEVICE and it works absolutely fine. What is happening? Why is it not working with the other boards…

What devices can I connect to the USB EXT DEVICE port?

You can connect a Roland A-49 or A-PRO series device to the USB EXT DEVICE port of the FANTOM-06 FANTOM-07 FANTOM-08. The zone that corresponds to the MIDI channel that’s set on the connected device produces sound.

- Generic MIDI devices may not work when connected.

My Arturia Minilab Mk2 does not work. I am not sure if I have ever tried it with other keyboards. However, I have tried it with Android phones, and with a Raspberry Pi Pico, and they seem to work fine.

Agree... should not be called Ext USB Device... but Ext Roland Device :-)
