keys of Fantom 6 very noisy

Very noisy all the time or is the noise dependant on the velocity ?

I consider my Fantom 8 very nice to play but can also scream as soon as I go over 90-95, at that point the noise going even through my noise cancelling headphones. That velocity points are not used necessarily to play louder, just to manage the orchestration adding or removing voices accordingly.

See there are indeed very many settings tackling loudness and velocity, via system menu, zone, scenes, tones and partials that will allow you to play loud notes without slapping the keys all the time.

The keybed on my Fantom 6 is noisier than some of the synths I have owned, but less noisy than the Novation Summit at high velocities. I think a bit mechanical sound from the keys adds to the playing experience, but I assume people have different preferences.

Indeed...

I have a scene with a mixture of harpsichords and strings and I went placing a key-off sounding that pretends to be coming from the quills as the keys go back to its initial placement.

Same did with pipe organs, simulating valves opening and closing.

Flutes demand the opposite, some profound, at times, breathing before the sound...

And when you are really deep into playing, your breath becomes part of the harmony, as it is seen on some top notch recordings where Jordi Savall plays the Viola da Gamba.

Not so great stuff: I also am disappointed with the acoustic noise on my Fantom 7 keys. The keys around the middle which have had most use also are not as smooth as others. And they really haven't had that much use compared to some of my 30+ year old keyboards.

I was super pleased with the slickness of the Fantom keys to start with but now yeah I'm a little disappointed seeing as the thing cost so much.
