When you fade a zone's volume to 0, does it disable the zone to save polyphony or is it still on consuming polyphony (but you can't hear it)? I'm trying to see if there's another way without the zone switch.

I haven't used superknob, but when something adjusts a zone's volume to zero, it still uses polyphony. Zero volume only means that you can't hear the sound... it doesn't mean the keyboard isn't playing it. This is what would allow you, for example, hold a chord and then move the control in the other direction, and hear the sound fade back in. It has to have already been playing all along for you to be able to do that. And if it was playing, even if you couldn't hear it, it was still using polyphony.

TheSuperNova, see that the little keyboard on the screen showing the range of the zone goes turning green the keys being pressed for the involved zone means It is actually being used although not really heard.

I found a way to do it using Matrix Control
You can also do it with the sliders. Just assign two sliders... example Slider 1, and slider 2 to CC-07 volume In that scene, have one slider go from 0-127 when you push it up, and the other go 127- 0 when you push it up.
That works but you have to manipulate two sliders at same time, and it looks like impossible to assign two actions to a control pedal.

I,ve tried this using matrix control but not happy with the results:

1. Assign a cc midi, 22 Or whatever, to the control pedal in scene menu.

2. Edit tone 1, matrix control 4, source cc22, destination level, sensivity -63

3. Edit tone 2, matrix control, source cc22, destination level, sensivity +63

Results pressing the control pedal:

Tone 1 reduces level to 0. Ok.

Tone 2 increases a little bit level but not significantly. Plus, if inicial level is 0 doesn,t do nothing.

I dont know if i am missing something or doing anything wrong. Ideas or suggestions will be welcome 😊

Besides, matrix control is only for zencore tones, not for model expansions, supernatural, wheel clone or vpiano.

Cheers.

What type of waves you need to use that on ?

Harpshicords, pianos, salterios and the likes might be hard to manage but flutes, brass, strings... could be quite a different thing...

Let me know, just for ZEN-Core if you please, and I will have a look as soon as I have the time...

Hi,

As some tones don't have this full matrix control ,
You might want to do this with mfx outputlevel ;

Tone1 (zone1) ... mfx output level on max. 127 ?
Tone2 (zone2) ... mfx output level on min. 0?

Let a cc message control the mfx outputlevel of both ?

I did this with previous fantoms, no with the 0 yet.

New fantoms don' t have Mfx output level as a destination parameter in mfx control tab.

My attempts were made with strings and organs
