How did you get the pitch slide to work? I can't find a setting for this.

The only place I can find is to assign portamento to the MOD knob then record a motion for it to turn it on and off. Portamento type in the sound has to be set to "Normal", sound has to be "Mono", and portamento switch has to be set to "On" for this to work. Whew! That is a lot of work just to get a slide, and it eats a mod knob.

Edit: I saw your comment on the YT video. I bought the patches and will look more closely tomorrow. It seems you figured out another way to get the notes to slide just by overlapping notes.

Nevermind. I found it in the reference manual, though your comment in the YT video clued me in. Legato mode applies portamento if a note is played while holding down the previous note. This is a better way to get a 303-style slide IMO because it doesn’t use up the mod knob for the track.

I just sold my TB-03 because I love the sound but hate the 303 interface and sequencer... This is a good replacement! Added to cart.

If you use the 303 onboard preset as a tone, using the portamento to get the slide, the 707 works really well with MIDI generated by any 303. It works great as a 303, and has multiple colours of the 303 sound, from Humanoid acid to Goa and Psy, and unlike a real 303 it doesn't lose the bass when you peak it. I've found it's best to use the Limiter as the insert effect on a 303 tone, firstly to level the quiet and loud bits, but secondly because the Limiter has a 15db cut on bass and treble, making the 303 much easier to fit in the mix. The 707's 303 still sounds a tad digital to me, but it doesn't spoil the groove or the overall feel.
