Possibility of SuperNatural Pianos...

Possibility of SuperNatural Pianos...

This new RD 88: https://www.gearnews.com/namm-2020-roland-rd-88-lighter-and-more-accessible-stage-piano/

It says, "The sound comes from the Roland ZEN-Core with SuperNATURAL Piano and SuperNATURAL E.Piano".

This is very cool as that means that these SuperNATURAL sounds have been ported to the ZEN-Core. I'm assuming these will get released for the Fantom, though I don't know if they are already in the just-announce Axial packs or not.

They are not in the just-released Axial packages.

And reading the description of it is not clear if the SuperNATURAL Piano and SuperNATURAL E.Piano in this are Zen-Core or separate... I sure would like it to be shareable as I'm not thrilled with the V-Piano sounds.

I believe that SuperNatural is a different engine since there's a "SNA " (Super Natural ?) engine mode in tone edit but for the moment only a few strings, bass and brass sounds.

Another machine sold years before the development is finished. How long will we accept this crap?

I am curious about the new supernatural tones for the Fantom. How can I hear the "supernatural" effect compared to a regular tone? I heard there was a special chip that worked together with the tone to give it the extra realism like a short moment of blowing into the instrument before it makes the first sound. I am wondering if the Fantom emulates that chip or if it is just the tone.

No instrument gets finished ever. According to you, the Minimoog or the B3 should have been finished a long time ago.

Come on. You really think it's a good business model for the customer to pay full price upfront and then get the full machine with what was promissed after three to five years?
I have come to the conclusion that I wait for three years and then buy new machines when they get pushed out of stores, because Roland once again dropped the ball on its "innovation".
I just buy second hand now. Being a "Late Adopter" is the way to go.
Fantom G6 - 2014
SY77 - 2015 (I knew FM would be a thing again!)
V-Synth & XT - 2016
XA - 2017 (still defective 12dB filter!)
System-8 2018
I always pay 2/3 or half of the already reduced price and get the latest version of the Software.
Don't give a company credit for a glorified Kickstarter project.
I made that mistake with a Kronos 73 once. It was a nightmare.
Yeah, I am salty.
