stop TR-09 from transmitting midi notes?

So I want to use my TR-09 as a clock, to sync (via midi) my synths arpeggiators and lfo's and such with. The problem is that the tr09 transmits midi note info as well and I can't figure out a way to turn that off. I don't want it to send note info - I want to play the notes myself!!! Can anyone help me with this? I'm trying to clock the lfo and delay on an SE-02 via standard MIDI cable.

ive an se-02 and tr-09.

are you using the trigger in from the tr-09 to the se-02?

what is your sync setting on the se-02 set to?

and your midi channels?

are thee the only 2 instruments you are trying to use together?

are you using them standalone or using usb out to a DAW?
