This is great stuff! The digital in was pretty useless before. There is also something funky with the 5/6 mini jack input. It has a very reduced stereo scope.

I hope the USB input carries audio. If so this would free up the two mono inputs used by my Jupiter-80, making room for the incoming Prophet 6. :)

By the way, have you noticed that digital out from the Jupiter-80 is very low volume? I tried boosting the gain on the Jupiter-80 but this distorts the sound when playing loud/busy parts. Boosting the gain on the MX-1 digital input also sounds worse/weaker than the unboosted analog input.

Yes! The USB input carries audio. And it has good volume and stereo spread. My Jupiter-80 is now connected by USB, freeing up two valuable analog mono inputs for actual analog sources. Quick, painless and no driver/setup required unlike on a computer. With compatible equipment the MX-1 has a nice number of inputs!

I tested both my Jupiter-80 and FA-06 and it works perfect.
