People,

I need to know where I can find "Windows Media Tools 4.0" or similar to generate active streamming files (*.ASF). I'm asking "where I can find" because I know that this program is no longer offered by Microsoft for download.
I would like to use the WME 7 but I can't since I've installed the WME 9 series and after uninstalling the 9 series, I have tryed the 7.1 for compatibility reasons. But the 7.1 doesn't work, and the 9 series, I guess that is very "unpopular". I would like to use a codec that are supported by all MS media players in all versions.
The reason is that I would like to put new audio contents in ASF format in my page, but I wouldn't like to install Sound Forge 4.5 or 5.0 just to have such codec working.
Any tip will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. If Windows media tools is an impossible thing at this time, I accept other similar programs, but please, freeware.

Sincerely,

Peace - Edu Camargo.
