Wives are great

Wives are great

Every guy should have one (a wife, that is)! My wife made me a birthday gift that consisted of custom made covers for each one of the pads of my Roland V-Drums set. Each cover was made of the same stuff she used for the cover of my Fantom-S (heavy leather-like vinyl with soft backing). Each pad cover has custom embroidered images on them - various hilarious cartoon characters playing various percussion instruments. I love them (and her)!

Congratulations, Bruiser! For your birthday, for your gift and your wife.

Of course wives are great. I just don't get people who are afraid of getting married. They just don't know what happiness is to be in two (and then in three, in four, and so on ;-)).

My wife always helps me. She even assisted me in making the covers for the Fantomized CCD1. ;-)

SO ARE DOGS!!!
Ok to clarify...
I lived 4 and half years with a lady. at first she went to all my gigs and stared at me (and smiled) every song. Also lots of compliments of how good i singed, and played guitar (i really stink playing guitar!!!!!)
Then..
She went to another state and i followed her and we started to live together.
Well things changed a little...
In the gigs instead at looking at me, she was staring any female who was smiling or was amused with my band.(And of course her statement was that every single chick in the place wanted to be with me!!!!. Sadly to say totally UNTRUE!!!) And of course all the: WHO IS SHE?, WHY DID YOU SMILE AT HER? ETC.
Then i decided to get deeper in the play´n guitar business, bought a nice (and noisy) fender deluxe hot rod, with my good old strat. THEN CAME THE: "Please lower that thing..", "i dont know why you insist with that guitar..", etc.
Ok so later on i auditioned for a quite famous television cover band (James Brown, etc). My voice didnt reach the necesary tones so. i was rejected (politely but rejected!!!).Then Came the: "YOU DIDNT GO PREPARED...", "JUST SING AS A HOBBY DONT THROW AWAY YOUR LIFE IN THIS...".
SO.... i guess if i would be still living with this lady, and i wouldve bought a keyboard, sure she would of made me a cover..., AND A BOX TO PUT IT AWAY!!!!!

So the moral of the story is:
I ENVY YOU VERY MUCH!!.I feel happy that someone in our UNION is happy.Of course their is a lot of your part in finding this lady, but lets not leave apart THE LUCKY ISSUE!!!

p.s.: im no sexist, guys can be the same or more a pain in the ass towards a lady
p.s. i already published when you posted so to you also artemio: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

BitchZilla is my best friend after 6 years together - she twisted my arm into using our savings to buy a Fantom-S (she originally wanted me to get a triton because Linkin bloody Park use one), so I think I'll keep her :-)

I agree jrevenko, dogs are great too.

No argument at all against dogs. I have one of those too. Dogs played a very important roll in mans early transition from nomadic hunter/gatherers to farmers and couch potatoes.

Great Wives make grateful Husbands

Thankfully, REITA found me over 18 years ago and kept me from suffering the same fate as yourself jrevenko. I have played with other musicians that have lived that sort of thing and it always made trouble for the bookings. I am forever grateful that REITA has never asked me to choose no matter how bad or good things have been. She has been there for me from the first time we met until today. JMIO ps... my dog eats potatoes. especially if ya put gravy on them.

If anyone is interested, there is a really interesting book called: "Asimov's Chronology of Science and Discovery", written by Isaac Asimov himself. Pretty much at the beginning of mans existence, dogs were domesticated. It happened at around 12,000 BC. It is suspected that children were mainly responsible for the domestication, in that they easily formed close bonds with cute little puppies. What parent wouldn't give in to the screams of their kid if you were about to slaughter one of the puppies for dinner?

Man and dog quickly found their relationship to be mutually beneficial. The dog would help man hunt, and get a few good leftovers as a result. This helped man settle down a little. The dog helped man control and domesticate other animals, such as goats. That led to farming, BEER production, pubs, and musical entertainment at the pubs. Musicians owe our very existance to the dog. Pet one the next time you see one...
