This is my first post on this forum:

I couldn't resist and just purchased two Jupiter-80 for my two OASYS-88...one for the live setup and the other one for the studio setup...

..aaaahhhh...I love the smell of new Roland gear!!!

Thanks, but I am not a rich guy. Sometimes you get an amount of money, if someone dies or if you win in the lottery. You just have to be crazy enough as myself, to spent all this money in order to fulfill your synthesiszer dreams...

Thanks! Yes, I got a quite good deal for Swiss circumstances. Switzerland has usually very high prices, compared to the rest of Europe and we are not a part of the EU.

So instead of the normal price of 3990.- CHF (= 2655 GBP) per Jupiter-80, I've payed 3000.- CHF (= 1996 GBP) for each. It's not useful to compare with US prices, because the US Dollar is just incredibly low and weak compared to the Swiss Franc, which is almost to strong for the health of the Swiss market...

Each of my two Jupi-80 is worth that money. I was quite critical towards the Jupiter-80, after reading the manuals and watching a lot of clips, etc. But when I had the chance to test this beast for several hours, I was convinced, that this Instrument is the best Instrument Roland has ever built!

Better I don't say the following on the Korg Forum, where I post from time to time: But the Jupiter-80 just blows away the OASYS/Kronos in many respects. The sound quality is mesmerizing and incredible and the fun factor is just huge, compared to the more scientific approach of the OASYS.

Wow, I'll need some time to realize, what I've just done today......two Jupiters....I must be crazy.

But live is too short, so let's enjoy it!

Great stuff Dany! You're going to love the JP-80 and it seems to be all the better when supported by the Mighty O ;)

Had opportunity to compare Jupiter 80 with Kronos, few sounds on Kronos pleased me a little bit more, but the most important stuff for me, as guitars, trumpets, organ etc. was much much better on Jupiter.

Indeed, what a combination: The OASYS-88 wih the Jupiter-80 on top of it! It just blew me away and I spent the whole night until now in the early morning, just playing and playing nonstop. The combination of these two wonderful instruments is bigger than the sum of its parts!

These outstanding intruments represent the pinnacle of 30 years R&D and experience from Roland and Korg. How lucky we are to witness all of this...

Thank you! I guess the reason, why there is more traffic over there on the Korg forum than here is the fact, that we Jupiter-80 owners are just much too busy playing music with our perfect and wonderful instruments... ;)
