Roland FP 7F Lyrics

1 Jul 2011, 06:44

He,

Sorry for the wrong section, but there is none for my piano fp7f :)

There are some demo's on the ROland FP7f piano with lyrics. Is there a possibility to create my own lyrics and play it on the piano?

Thanks alot

Absolutely!

On this respect the FP-7F manual is really lacking information! When it says it can play SMF (standard midi files) through a USB memory key, it is not only talking about .mid files! You can use .kar files (karaoke files) and the lyrics will appear on the screen and you will be able to sing along as it 'highlights' the current playing word.

So, if you have any application that can create a .kar file with synchronized lyrics, you can create lyrics for your songs.

Hope this helps,
Rafa.
ps. I have asked for an FP section, but it appears there is little interest, only 14 people have read the post in about 2 weeks! Many FP-7F owners are hanging at the synth section of the Piano World forum if you want to join us.
