Roland rd700 and hammond xk3c midi

Roland rd700 and hammond xk3c midi

20 Mar 2011, 17:57
I have a roland rd700 and on top i have a hammond xk3c

I want to get these two to communicate together so i can do the following:
1: get the hammond sound from xk3c down to the piano manual of the rd700. In short words, make the piano keys work like the lower manuals on the xk3c

2: use the synth sounds on the upper xk3c manual.

The problem is that i find the midi menu system hard to understand.

Anyone with experience who can give a helping hand?

Hello I'm Ad from Holland, owner of a xk3c
After studying the manual i did find out how to create a lower manual

You have to go to the MIDI menu
then surch template use EX w/3kbd and press the right button over [recl] to confirm this.(1)
farther in the menu you can change the midichannels (see 13,14,15)

Thats the way i do it, to get my lower keyboard sound by a 300sx

To get synthsounds by the keyboard of the hammond you have to work in the ZONES there you can set your midi out in the XU1 and other zones. Just trie and sometimes it works.
My problem is that I don't know yet how I can use the assignknobs. Maybe someone knows more about that!
