Getting a Roland Fantom G8

Getting one shipped to me via the support of some family members all chipping in to pay for it - should be here in a 5-7 days. I suppose I'm going to make friends with this forum (and perhaps the users!). I'm replacing my old keyboard which was a Roland KR-375. I'll miss it dearly but I'm so excited to learn everything the Fantom has to offer.

Anyways, onward with my question: What is the best way to learn how to use this magnificent keyboard? Of course, I'm going to read the manual that comes with it; however, I'm wondering if anyone could give me some directions/advice in finding a online tutorial or a series of videos... or is there a better way to go about learning this complex device? I haven't been able to find any that start from ground level and work up.

Thanks for any help

Your micro manual is pretty much exactly what I was looking for to get started with. Thanks

Congratulations! You'll have plenty of time in the tranquility of your home to really dig into this beast, 'cause moving it around is a true nightmare! ;-)

The micromanual is great and you'll soon find that it is really easy to learn the basics of the G. Enjoy!

I agree moving the BEAST is a rough road. I have one and it is heavy.

I also purchased a DVD set to learn the thing. However, between Youtube and the folks here on the forum you will be very much okay.
