New JUNO, Old Memory

New JUNO, Old Memory

12 May 2010, 03:31
Hey Guys,

inb4
This has been posted before but the time now seems correct to repost because the memory that the JUNO requires is becoming hard to find as suppliers always want to provide the newest products.

I want to upgrade my JUNO-G O/S to version 2 and I want to do a general memory expand before the required items become too hard to find.

Finding the 512MB Memory module was easy (for now), but it seems nearly impossible to find a 1Gig compact flash memory card these days.

Is the limitation still 1Gig on the flash Card? (I've read in earlier posts that people who bought 8Gig cards could not use them)

What if I buy a 2Gig card? Will this work or should I persist in searching for a 1Gig card?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the JUNO-G may not be able to access the whole card if it's larger than 1 GB. That's theoretically. On practice, it may work with a 2 or 4 GB card - maybe you can try one borrowed from a friend? In any case you can get a 1 GB card off eBay.

I recently bought a 4GB Kingston memory card from Adorama and it works fine - Juno-G even shows the entire 4GB as available.

@cjban

Thanks for the positive feedback. I purchased a 2Gig card yesterday and when the adapter arrives will be giving it a try.
