Easy way to set effects (for Rhodes)

Easy way to set effects (for Rhodes)

Hi,

I recently discovered how good the effects can sound, when using the Rhodes and Wurlitzer sounds. But navigating to the tone settings, then setting the effect and then controlling the effect takes quite some time, something I'd rather not do at gigs!

I was wondering whether there was an easier way to set the effects? Of course I can make a set-up for each effect. But would it also be possible to e.g. connect an external MIDI controller to the RD-700GX to easily set and control an effect?

The easiest way is to create a setup with those effects you wish. You can select one parameter which you can control bith a foot pedal. That's the reason why there are user rewritable setups. Unfortunately, there are only 98 but regardless, that's the way to do it.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm indeed making a lot of set-ups at this moment, and perhaps they are easier to use than I imagined, using several banks and the 'shortcut keys' to select them.

I do have the feeling however, that modifying sounds, effects, etc. is more difficult than it should have been for the RD-700GX. But then again, having all settings in reach would probably have made the RD-700GX look like a Clavia Nord Stage... Which I was never really able to control when trying it out in music stores...
